Disclosure Policy

Advertisements and Affiliate Links

JennyinTransit.com is a blog written and edited by Jennifer De Witt. For questions about this blog, please contact her at jenny@jennyintransit.com.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has guidelines regarding endorsements and testimonials to protect you from misleading advertising that’s been paid for by a company. Because Slow Travel Society is an income source and does occasionally include endorsements and testimonials, it’s important to disclose the following:

Ads

The ads you see on JennyInTransit.com are independent first-party ads managed by Jennifer De Witt. These ads appear in the blog sidebar and in some posts on the site. These are all images that clearly look like advertisements.

Affiliate Links

Most posts are travel-related or aging related. When applicable we showcase products that we recommend by linking to those items on Amazon or affiliate sites. These links are helpful ways to show which products we truly use so you know what to look for no matter where you decide to purchase. We make a small percentage of a sale that a retailer pays.

Amazon.com - We are participants in the Amazon Services Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program created to help advertisers earn fees by linking to products at Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

Sponsored Posts

We are sometimes compensated to provide opinions on products, services, websites, etc. These posts are clearly marked and contain a disclaimer including verbiage that mentions what was shared or provided in return for content.
